It’s ok not to be okay!

How can you know if you are in the right place? How about whether you are following the right path?

Well, dude, we just entered 2017 and I would expect an online platform where you put exactly what you do every day and you get a little popup advising you about your situation and whether you are getting there.
Just to give you a simple example: I have a person I know who always wanted to move overseas. He found a job opening in the States and moved there. It turned out he did not really like his job and the fact that he was so far away from Greece and he couldn’t practically see his family whenever the hell he wanted. Then he tried to locate the actual problem, which was – according to his outcomes- the job. Now, he works for one of the coolest magazines in downtown Manhattan and is still complaining (p.s.: he was never the grumpy type of complaining dude he has turned into).  If you ask him he would tell you he could never –not in his wildest dreams- imagine working for NYLON. However, I am not entirely sure that his statement refers to his opinion about his capabilities or the fact that he –maybe- chose the wrong way; What if that is not where he really wanted to be?
Indeed NYLON and all the big (or at least well known) companies are attractive. It is a bit bizarre to reject such an offer when the whole of your life you were expressing such interests.
TBH, it’s extremely easy to get disoriented or distracted nowadays. Ok, for Instagram it’s like you are Obama when working for a pop-culture magazine. But what if you don’t want to be Instagram’s Obama?
I do not know what is true or false, what is good or bad and what is right or wrong. I know that when it is right you feel something. Well, how to explain it now…. Like when you are hungry for example. You have the need to eat. Assuming you are in love. You desperately want to see that person. E, there you go… When it’s right you have the need to go for it!
On the other hand, when everything goes well – admit it- it’s boring….. You have to fail. You have to cry like hell and you have to feel lonely. It is good to have some late night nasty conversations (well, monologues) with your dark side and your fears.
You have to fail and lose your path in order to give yourself a chance to find the right way and experience the victory. Man is experiential…
People tend to seek for happiness so badly that they forget how important it is to deal with flaws. Imagine your whole life you face zero problems and you are happy AF. What will happen when something bad happens to you ? Unless you are an ancient Egyptian and your relatives never die and stay as mummies forever.
My personal biggest fear is not being able to handle something. Not the event itself, not the danger or anything but the human factor of freaking out and not being able to handle it. If you experience it, face it, deal with it you challenge yourself. I am not saying that you will succeed but for sure you will get used to the idea of being fine for not being fine! ;)
